HOW DOES COACHING WORK?

Coaching is based on the premise that the coachee knows best what they want and how to get there but recognises that sometimes people need help to make it happen. It involves a coach asking relevant questions; using tools and techniques to help them gain insight and clarity about their goals and how to achieve them. But as with anything people get as much out of the process as they put in – it’s not a talking shop. A coaching session will result in action for the coachee but it’s up to them to take it.

WHERE DO WE MEET?

Whether you are in Australia or down the road in London, provided you have a tablet, laptop or even a smartphone we can meet anytime over Zoom. As long as you have peace and quiet, time to focus and can talk openly, it will work.

HOW OFTEN DO WE TALK?

A number of sessions will be arranged at a frequency to suit you. Typically this could be six fortnightly sessions if you want to make good progress on something reasonably quickly. Some of you may be so passionate about getting started it will be weekly initially then depending on progress, work out if you need any more sessions and the frequency that works for you. For longer term goals, for example career change, a monthly approach may suit you best. If you achieve your goal earlier than expected, all the better for you!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

That will depend on whether you want to book a certain number of sessions in eg six fortnightly hour long sessions or if you want a longer term approach eg one hour per month with a a half-hour check-in call. We probably won’t know what will work best until we have an initial session.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE INTRODUCTORY TALK?

This is to make sure you understand what coaching is and isn’t, that the topic you want to discuss is appropriate for coaching and that you want to work with me and I want to work with you.
