About the event

Whether directly impacted by COVID19, home schooling or adjusting to different ways of working, all of us have adapted in some way. As we transition out of lockdown, this is a useful time to take stock.

Regardless of what you do for work, developing your emotional intelligence can only help. The skills involved determine:

  • how you perceive and express yourself
  • cope with challenges
  • develop and maintain social relationships
  • use emotional info in a useful way.

These skills make a real difference in work performance, leadership, health and happiness so there is no down side to developing them.

Emotional intelligence is broken down into 15 skills, for example, self regard, problem solving, assertiveness, empathy. The great news is that as it is skills based, it can be learned.

Over 16 weeks we will explore what emotional intelligence is, how it can help us and then we will explore each of the 15 skills in detail with practical tips on how to develop them.
